The Global Policy and Advocacy Committee supports the Director General in creating an environment that promotes inquiry and debate through facilitating and disseminating relevant information that addresses emerging trends, real-world regulatory or market-led developments of interest to Chartered Company Secretaries and Governance Professionals in their roles as leaders in driving long-term organisational success.

Victoria is Group Company Secretary for W.A.G payment solutions plc, a UK listed company based in the Czech Republic. Victoria has over 30 years’ experience in a wide range of sectors and is skilled in corporate governance, project delivery and board leadership in UK and internationally listed companies.
Victoria was appointed to Council in 2021 and was a board member of CGIUKI until July 2025. She has served on CGIUKI’s Audit &Risk Committee, Investment Committee, Education Committee, Nomination & Remuneration Committee and was President of the division between 2020 and 2023. she is a trustee of the Chartered Secretaries’ Charitable Trust.
Gillian Meller FCG HKFCG
Gill Meller FCG HKFCG (PE) is MTR Corporation Limited’s Legal & Governance Director. She is responsible for leading the Company’s environmental, social and governance initiatives and for overseeing the Company’s legal, company secretarial, insurance, risk and assurance management and procurement and supply chain functions.
Gill is qualified to practise as a solicitor in Hong Kong and England and Wales. She graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Geography from Hertford College, the University of Oxford and obtained her postgraduate qualifications in law from The College of Law in the United Kingdom. She is the chair of the Legal Committee of The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Listing Committee of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and an independent director of Hong Kong, China Rugby. She is also a representative of the China/Hong Kong Division on the Council of the international Chartered Governance Institute, a former President of The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute, and a Fellow of both of these institutes.
Datuk Suseela Menon FCG (CS, CGP)
Datuk Suseela Menon is a Past President of MAICSA, having served as President from October 2020 to June 2022. Currently, she serves as the Immediate Past President on the Council of the Corporate Secretaries International Association (CSIA), an international federation of corporate secretaries and governance professionals.
She has served and continues to serve on various committees of MAICSA. She was the Chairman of the Transformation & Re-branding Committee, where she led the re-branding exercise undertaken by the Institute. Presently, she holds the Chairmanship of the Editorial Board, the Thought Leadership Committee and the Appeals Tribunal Committee.
Suseela served as Executive Director of UMW Corporation (a prominent public-listed conglomerate in Malaysia), having risen to that position from the role of Group Secretary. It is noteworthy that she was the first female Executive Director in the Group. Her 30 years’ of working experience encompass company secretaryship, corporate communications, branding, corporate governance, investor relations, IT, property and administration.
She has had entrepreneurial experience in managing businesses, specifically in the medical and Esports industries. She continues to engage in consultancy work for companies that require her expertise.
Suseela served as the first-ever female President of the All-Malaysia Malayalee Association and as a Disciplinary Committee member of the Malaysian Bar Council for many years,
Datuk Suseela was conferred the Panglima Jasa Negara (PJN) in June 2014 by His Royal Highness, the King of Malaysia, which carries the title “Datuk”, in recognition of her corporate work and charitable activities.
Silvana Glibota-Vigo FCG
Silvana Glibota-Vigo FCG joined the board of The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland in August 2023, having been a co-opted member since March 2022. Silvana serves on the Membership, Education and Learning and Nomination and Remuneration Committees. Group Head of Secretariat since 2020 for Keller Group plc, she has been working in corporate governance for UK premium listed companies since 2006. Silvana is also a member of the Governance Officer Apprenticeship Trailblazer Group, a practitioner member of the European Corporate Governance Institute and a member of the Association of Corporate Secretaries of Latin America.
Elsabé Kirsten FCG
Elsabé Kirsten FCG is a qualified Chartered Secretary, duly registered with the Chartered Governance Institute of Southern Africa with 29 years’ experience in the company secretarial field. Elsabé is Chair of the Institute’s Technical Committee. She obtained a B.A., LL.B. degree from the University of Stellenbosch and completed a B.Compt. Degree through the University of South Africa. She was appointed as Old Mutual Group Company Secretary on 1 August 2013, having joined the Old Mutual Group Secretariat in August 2005. The Group was listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange in 2018. Prior to her appointment with the Old Mutual Group, she managed the Corporate Secretarial Departments of Ernst & Young (2000-2005) and Fisher Hoffman PKF (1996-2000).
Suzyo Ngandu
Suzyo Ngandu is a governance professional with over 20 years of experience, having started her career in the field of Property Management at ZCCM Limited , with her last formal role as Board Secretary of the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) from 2016 to 2023. In her career, she provided critical support on governance issues, regulatory compliance, strategic leadership and policy development, while also leading the Internal Affairs Unit to investigate corruption and fraud.
She holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Land Economy(CBU), an MBA from the University of Applied Sciences Business School in the Netherlands and is a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute (UK) currently serving on the Global Advocacy and Policy Leadership Committee as well as the Professional Membership Committee.
She is currently a corporate governance consultant and a Certified Trainer with the Institute of Directors Zambia (IODZ) where she serves on the Research and Policy Committee. She is Chairperson of the Board of Rembrandt Properties and also Board Secretary at St Ignatius College owned by the Society of Jesus ( Jesuit Order) in Lusaka and serves on the Harvard Business Review Advisory Panel.
She is an immediate past member of the National Olympics Committee Marketing Commission where she served on a Pro Bono Basis.
Simon Pordage FGIA FCG
Simon Pordage FGIA FCG joined ANZ Group Holdings Limited (ANZ) in May 2016. He is a Chartered Secretary with extensive company secretarial and corporate governance experience. From 2009 to 2016 he was Company Secretary for Australian Foundation Investment Company Limited and a number of other Australian listed investment companies. Other former roles include being Deputy Company Secretary for ANZ and Head of Board Support for Barclays PLC in the UK. Simon is a Brand Ambassador for, and is a former National President and Chair of, Governance Institute of Australia and is a former Chair of its National Legislation Review Committee.
